what is in the unconscious<br> - Aona Hayashi Exhibition at SIRI SIRI Shop

Despite its quiet appearance, the traces of ink are impulsive. The trajectory of time left on the canvas, far removed from intentions and intentions, liberates the consciousness of those who confront it. Primitive modeling seems to invite us to the primitive world.

SIRI SIRI Shop welcomes new works by painter Aona Hayashi in conjunction with the launch of the 2023 collection <SOPHIE> .

The wood panel work was created by Mr. Hayashi for this occasion. The texture created by the ink gives a sense of the texture of the trees and bark used in the collection.

The 2023 collection is inspired by the work of Swiss artist Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889-1943). Sophie Arp, who led the Dada movement, has a wide range of expressions such as woodwork, textiles, and dance, and you can feel the attitude toward liberation from traditional arts. In this collection, we created forms by freely releasing the images and uses of materials.

Mr. Hayashi's work and SIRI SIRI's jewelry, which seems to be a seemingly different expression. Both use simple, pared-down geometric motifs, but what can we witness by being in the same space?

Things that exist in the unconscious and impulses that move us. How about feeling a part of it through the expression of Mr. Hayashi who explores the primitive and the world shown by Sophie Arp?
