Born into a family of craftsmen who run Arimatsu Narumi Shibori, a traditional dyeing technique handed down in Nagoya, Hiroyuki Murase, the fifth generation, moved to Europe in 2002 with the aim of becoming an artist. Majored in three-dimensional art and architecture. Knowing the international value of shibori and the decline of the industry, he established his original brand "suzusan" in Germany in 2008 while still a student. Lighting, home collection, and clothing collection since 2015. Using carefully selected materials from Japan and around the world, such as cashmere and alpaca, which are not usually used for tying, we continue to create new traditions that are free from materials and uses. Currently, suzusan is sold in more than 23 countries and regions, and will open a flagship store in Düsseldorf, Germany in 2020 following Nagoya and Arimatsu. Since 2018, he has been a visiting professor at the Department of Textiles, Nagoya University of Arts, and since 2021, he has been appointed as the general coordinator of "Creation as DIALOGUE," a traditional industry overseas marketing support project sponsored by the city of Nagoya. are also vigorously expanding.
